14 Jul 98 - 06:45 AM (#32521) Subject: The Man from Athabaska From: Graeme Dunbar Can anyone help me with the guitar right hand for the song "the man from Athabaska" (Aphabaska?) by Country Joe MacDonald off the album "War War War"? I heard it years ago (1978?) on the U.K. radio show "the John Peel show" and then years later I picked up a first edition of a book of poems by Robert Service with it in it (complete with a poignant inscription dated 1917 from a lieutenant xxx). More recently I tracked down a CD re-release of C J McDs record of songs based on WW1 poems by R Service. |
