fum fum a needle and a kimo...

Does anyone have lyrics/chords for this? We have most of the words of the version my Gramps sang, but don't remember the rest and he has Alzheimer's. Lyric and chord recollection is, needless to say, not his strong point right now. He was, however, humming this the other day and we want to sing it for him.
Thanks,
Beccy
Oh. Here's what we have...

I know a gal who's 10 feet tall.
Fum fum a needle and a kimo.
She sleeps in the kitchen with her feet in the hall.
Fum fum a needle and a kimo.
Kimario do so pedero (okay, this is nonsense, but it's how Gramps did it.)
Kimario fimo
Ricka tick a stabba nicka rolla bobbilinktum
Fum fum a needle and a kimo.

The two sensible lines (1 & 3) are from Lonnie Donegan's "Cumberland Gap"
Also:-
"Two old ladies sitting in the sand
Each one wishing that the other was a man"

Song's in the Digitrad under Kemo Kimo but the midi doesn't work when you click on it. Maybe someone can fix the link.

Twas one my grandfather sung to me too.
I sent Jeff a message about the bad MIDI. Thanks, Metchosin.

Later....the online version of the Digital Tradition doesn't have a tune, either. Guess we need somebody to submit one.

My Gramp's chorus was:

Kemo Kimo dar awa
Mahi Maho
Rump sump sack a nickles
Poopdag nipcat
Polly won't you kimeo
I love you

Wonderful variations......

Hmmm. I did a Mudcat search for "sleeps in the kitchen with her feet in the hall" (click here to search) and came up with a number of results. I wonder if my search link will work. This Google Search (click) also has interesting results.

Lots of good stuff in the Forum (threads shown along with the DT song if kemo kimo put in the lyrics and knowledge search. Thread numbers in my notes are 6853, 1681, 46177 and 52342.

Metchosin's chorus reminded me of one in American Memory:
Keemo, Kimo, dar a war,
Me hi, me ho, rumsit pum a diddle,
Sot bug poddy woddy link cum nip cut,
Sing song Kitty. can't you Kimeo.

Also look at those under Beaver Creek (6853)

As I said above, I guess we don't have a tune for Kemo Kimo in the Digital Tradition. If somebody wants to send me one, I'll add it to Mudcat MIDIs.

No source is given for the DT entry, but it's almost identical to the sheet music mentioned by Q, which would be the best source for a tune for that particular example.

Keemo Kimo

Hoping someone can post a tune.....looks like a FUN song. Some of the lyrics here are verbatim "Salty Dog" lyrics......(Beccy and Nigel's posts.)

All I'm seeing in the list at the head of the thread is Froggy-type lyrics. My "kemo kimo" has tailor-and-the-crow story, with the main chorus

Kimaneero, kitty come keero
Kimaneero, kimo
Ba ba ba ba billy illy inkum
Inkum kitty come kimo.

Is this anomalous or just obvious?
