From: alison we watched Sharon Shannon play the other night... brilliant concert.... she was accompanied by Jim Murray... a friend of mine want to know what sort of tuning Jim Murray uses on his guitar (he reckons its the same tuning used by Artie McGlynn) anyone any ideas? thanks slainte alison |

From: michaelr If it's the same goofy-looking kid she's had playing with her in The Woodchoppers for some years, who plays a nylon-string guitar, I asked him and he said he uses regular tuning. From: Backwoodsman It wasn't an Atkin OM he played on last Friday's 'Transatlantic Sessions', it looked like a nylon-strung slot-head of some description. Or a steel-strung guitar styled like a nylon-strung with a cut-away. I'm the owner of an OM, Jim's wasn't one. |
