So don't just sit in front of the goggle-box, and perhaps phone in to pledge 10 pounds for Comic Relief; come and PARTICIPATE in a charity event. And to spice things up I throw in a challenge: I will give one pound to Folk for MS for every quality heckle aimed at any performer (NOT DURING THE PERFORMANCE though, and I'll be the judge of quality), and 50 pence for every quality heckle thrown back at the audience (I am playing safe here, as Breezy has an unfair advantage).

Howzzat?

Sounds excellent El Greko - not sure I understand the rules but someone will be needed to organise that????

Am hoping that ChrisHilId won't be too worn out this week & will let me join them for a couple of songs at the Comfort. Good luck to V & C tonight at Herga and on Thursday at Maidenhead with their stunning performance! So glad these nightingales are airing their voices properly :-)

Anyone who's coming on Friday must start brushing up on their heckling skills now if we've a chance to empty El Greko's pockets - he's a deep one!!!

V & C did fine, cant wait for the full frontal.
Heckling being honed.
If you think it, say it!!
Dont make a 'pig's ear' out of it.
Grunt , Snort, all the way home.

Breezy, you don't need to hone your heckling - but thinking before speaking would probably cause a lot less hassle :-)

Thats very kind of you to say so guru. Steve old buddy, I trust you are looking forward to a pleasant evening out on Friday and you certainly can sing for us, that would be very nice of you.
I'll see what I can arrange but it'll be at least 2.
Good night everyone, sleep well.

Thanks to a BRILLIANT suggestion by a fellow Catter, (no names - you know who you are) we've decided to try out a special Charity Night auction. Unsure on the format at this stage, but this may snowball - so Heads Up!

We (the residents) are planning to offer 10 minute sessions of 'silence by Breezy' to the highest bidder. To avoid disappointment, we will try to keep this up throughout the evening, so BRING YOUR MONEY. We think this may be a popular fundraising event! Tell your friends.....

So, who's coming then?????

What a brilliant idea! I, for one, will be sponsoring Breezy to keep silent - safe in the knowledge that I won't be losing much money!
Though he could surprise us all, of course.
Hovering(kestrel)Bob was already trying to get his head around the structure of the evening last night - should be great fun.

A Breezy silence is in the Flying Pigs category. George W inviting Sardam for tea & cucumber sandwiches at the White Shack has a higher likelihood. Or Blurb getting his Second Resolution. And I'll back this opinion with my drachmas.

Though we WILL see the Flying Pigs, right, Guru? Appropriately positioned for the Singing Referee to do his bit?
(reading the above sentence again, it conjures up some highly dubious images, but you know what I mean)

You never know, if it's for charity he might manage it. The other question is, if he breaks it do we make him pay up however much was bid.

Ah, don't know how to work that one Jude, any suggestions???

I'm sure he can do it - he's always raising money for Leukemia Busters. Under all that armour he's got a soft heart. No, really, he has!!

Tell your friends!!!!

If he manages it, it WILL be a charity. If he breaks it, we shouldn't pressure him for money though, let's be kind. We just announce it to the world.

I'll try to remember to bring MY flying pigs so that we persuade the Singing Referee to outperform himself again.....

Oh, what a night! £250 raised for Folk for MS, loadsa banter, loadsa good songs (as you might expect, with most of the songs on the night being requested and therefore favourites).

Well done Hovering Bob for managing us unruly lot so well.

And I think it would be fair to say that few of us will be able to look JudeL straight in the face; but you had to be there to understand what I mean...

Jude: you're all woman!! And you sure know how to play to a 'packed' house ;-) Thanks for singing 'my Johnny' with me, that was Fab!

An excellent evening, it must have been - my voice is really tired today!

Wonderful to have raised so much for 'Folk for MS' in so many different & 'impressive' ways. I particularly enjoyed the 'Breezy's 10 minute silence' - especially the third time when he was just starting a song. Thankfully Graeme Knights & Lude took over the singing while Breezy played *g*
