Ladybug ball?

Someone posted a question on a rubber stamping message board, and I thought I'd ask it here (as it seems the best place to ask -- you folks are wonderful):

"I bought a [rubber] stamp [that says] "when crickets sing and fireflies fall, all the little bugs dance at the ladybug ball!" I have been racking my pea brain try to figure out where this saying comes from...what children's book, poem, or song. Anybody know?"

I seem to remember a bouncy little song along the same lines, maybe heard it played on Dr. Demento's radio program years ago. Any leads to title, lyrics, etc. would be appreciated!

I have a video of old cartoons with the song The Ladybug Ball.... somewhere.... my son is too old for those now, so it has been years since we've heard it. There definitely is a bouncy little song with that title.

Are you sure it's not "The Ugly Bug Ball?" Here is a link to a thread that discusses that bouncy little tune.

You're not thinking of the Butterfly Ball by Roger Glover?

There was also a song on Sesame Street called "The Ladybug Picnic." I was certain there was a song called "The Ladybug Ball," but all of my searching has led me to "The Uglybug Ball" and "The Ladybug Picnic" instead.

Ugly Bug Ball is a Burl Ives song from way back.
