Looking for a Lute!

I want to buy one or trade a beautiful 4' glass didgeridoo in its case (worth $500 or so) for a lute. Okay if it needs some repairs.
(I am posting this for Minstrel Ned, one3 of my other halves).

I have a lute shaped guitar, (looks like a lute, plays like a classical guitar)crafted by a local luthier. Rich, deep tone. Perfect condition. I live in Ontario, Canada, and would sell the instrument for $500. If you are interested at all, let me know and I will send you pictures and more details.

You might want to contact Elderly Instruments, or Lark in the Morning. I don't offhand know the URL for Lark, but Elderly I believe is to be found at www.elderly.com

If you cannot find a good one, I have found that it is no more expensive to have a custom built instrument from a master luthier, such as Nick Appolonion, than it does to buy a commercial instrument from a dealer. It's a matter of middlemen [OK, middlepersons].

That should be Nick Appolonio, in Maine.

I have a lute I'm not playing, but will have to get back to you after thinking about it. It's not excellent, I've played some I liked much better, so I'm not sure it would be good economics, my sentimental attachment to it, vs. it's value to anyone. I'd have to decide I'm not going to play it again.

If you're having trouble pasting in the links above, I found them on the BRITISH Google (google.co.uk) by typing in lute+society.

Thanks, folks. I have forwarded your suggestions on to Ned, who will pick up his email the next time he passes a library. We were hoping that someone would want the beautiful didgeridoo! Apparently he can't afford to feed both instruments.
