Lyr Req: Lullaby (Dan Seals)

From: GUEST,Mike

Anyone know of the title and history of this song. The chorus is

"And love if you say
You won't slip away
Then I can go on dreaming of 'forever more'
But I won't rest until
I know that you'll be there
In the morning by my side"

Any verses?
Many thanks.

Love the song, and even sing it meself when the mood takes me. But there's a gorgeous version on Bill Whaley & Dave Fletcher's second CD Old Men & Love Songs, which has an extra verse written by Dave with Charlie Gettigan. Incidentally, the song's credited to "Dan Seals with R. Vanhoy" on that CD.....

The Extra verse if anyone is interested is:

My life would be as empty as a life could be
if you should leave me here
So let me drift away and slumber on 'til break of day
and awaken without fear
