I'm not American, & on the whole you can count me as a non-fan of the Shrub. Nevertheless, this is just garbage. Anyone can knock. Humanity is very good at knocking. What is this smart-ass's solution? What is *your* solution? Nothing, it seems. Easy to criticise, infintiely harder to offer a solution... |

Would you say to Walt Disney for his "In der furor's face..." "What is this smart-ass's solution? At least Mr. Hitler is looking for a final solution...?" CHeers Larry |

We go piling on the missles for decades and then say they are building up weapons of mass destruction cause they are jealous of us and hate us... kinda like the school yard bully who sudunly finds out the kid he has been beating on has a big brother. 23 Mar 03 - 10:08 AM (#916480) Subject: RE: BS: Posters to Fan the Flames of Discontent From: Tweed A solution to what Raed? After watching the citizens of Iraq searching the river banks for shot down fighter pilots and lighting brush fires with the wind blowing the smoke and flames back in their own faces, I can only conclude that these people are not worth liberating. Mr.Rumsfield would perhaps have us believe that the Baghdadizens were all attempting to surrender to the downed pilots, but he and I don't allus see things the same way and I didn't see any white flags. Possibly it was all just a smokescreen to allow Saddaam to sneak out the back door and take up residence in Boca Raton. It's not wrong thing to question authority when we truly believe them to be leading us off on a tangent, otherwise we could end up like the Baghdadizens, probing the bushes for something that's not there at all. It's certainly not wrong to be tightfisted with the lives of our young men and women who have chosen to enter the armed forces for the defense of their own countries. Nevertheless, our troops are there and I support them completely as my son and many of his friends are serving in the military now and they are more than images on the screen to me, but I can't seem to get myself behind their commander in chief and his cronies. Does that make any sense? I find myself strugglin' with this a lot lately.... Yerz, Tweed |
