I heard that our own Seamus Kennedy is coming to the PNW (emunclaw,WA) for the highland games in July...was just wondering if it is in fact true?

Well, his website says he'll be in Ireland (leading a tour) from July 7-18. No booking listed for WA yet.........

Amazing picture in my mind of Seamus, decked out in kilt, tossing the caber...

the caber... while double booked on two continents! Yeah! That's our Seamus, I think he can do it!

Or.... it's a plot with Mick to be Seamus' stunt double???

Mick won't have any problem. I sent him 2 thongs for Christmas (he ate both the potatoes sent with them).

Yes, I'm booked to appear at the Enumclaw Highland Games July 26th and 27th. The night before on the 25th, I'll be at the Albuquerque Zoo for a concert with the Cathy Ryan Band.
Also appearing at Enumclaw is my friend and superb Scottish singer Ed Miller. Fiddler extraordinaire John Taylor will be appearing as well, and as usually happens when the three of us get together, there'll be some performing in each other's shows and jammin'.
Hope to say Hi to a few 'Catters out there.

Seamus

Thanks for the blue clickies, guys. I really gotta learn to do that one of these days. But I'm afraid of my computer blowing up in my face.
Hope to meet a bunch of you at the Games.

Well, I am just refreshing this for the local NW folks here...and Seamus, I am not sure I'll make it but I am hoping to get on up there and finally meet you...

Seamus in a kilt? I'm not sure I'd want to be there for that. But I'd lay odds you wouldn't get Ed Miller in a kilt!

Sounds like a great festival, kilts or no, though. I wish I could be there.

Jed, you don't want to make that bet. I wear a kilt at Highland Games/Scottish Festivals, and I've been to several where Ed wears the kilt too.
In fact he will be my special guest at my Christmas shows in December this year at the Ice House in Bethlehem, PA, and at the Chesapeake Arts Center in Brooklyn Park, MD. And he'll wear the kilt then, too.
By the way, ed and I will both be appearing at the Celtic Classic Festival, September, 26, 27 and 28 in Bethlehem, PA.
Hope to see a few 'Catters there.
All the best.
