BS: The Gnome is on the move:-)

For anybody remotely interested, or not as the case may be. We are moving house tomorrow:-) Only going about 1/2 mile away but to a much quieter street in a nicer sounding, if not actualy better, place! (From Pendlebury to Irlams O'th' Heights)

We have done that much 'life laundry' in the last 3 weeks that you would think we had nothing left to move. But we have. Tons of it! Realy enjoying it up to now. 15 years in one house is a long time and we will be a little sad but the excitement of new challenges makes up for it.

Anyhow, I will be off-line for a short while. Days, rather than weeks, I hope. I will still be at Swinton next Monday (looking forward to seeing you Joan:-)) and, hopefuly, St Lukes on Thursday. Same telephone number, same email.

Ah well, once more into the breach...

Cheers

Dave the Gnome

Congratulations, Dave. Although having just completed a move after 20 years in one place, I wonder how you will feel about it a week from now when your toothbrush is still misssing. Enjoy!

Congratulations and come back as soon as you are reasonably settled or completely round the bend, whichever comes first!*bg*

You could always run away to the caravan and let the gnomelettes unpack.....wouldn't fancy your chances though. BTW, you know that two house moves are equivalent to one house fire, yes?Good luck!

Congratulations, Oh Gnomic one, hope you are taking Yon sofa in case a certain "honurable" gnome ( the undersigned) needs a place to rest his inebriated and weary bones some time? after being assaulted by That beer at the White Lion??

Dave,

Did someone mention a 'housefire', or was that a house-warming?

Good luck,

All the best with the move, Dave! Your poorly wrist is healed, then- or are you standing by directing operations? :0)

See you soon

Well - I am most impressed with NTL. We are up to out armpits in boxes, crates, bags, things that don't belong to us but NTL came and installed bradband this morning!

Thanks for the kind wishes. House warming soon. Wrist still poorly but coped bravely;-) Sofa still available. Must go. Got a bed to make. Literaly!

Back in a few days when I find where my brain was packed...

Well, that's it! All over bar the shouting. Found everything apart from 1 Sutcliffe print (the frame's there - just the print missing!) and 1 clip for our bed base.

Breakages - 1 City of Salford souvenier mug for something or another. 1 egg.

Start to get life back to normal now. Pace egg play starts tonight.

And this is normal...

Cheers
