04 Apr 03 - 11:03 PM (#926510) Subject: RE: BS: Badger has a heart attack From: catspaw49 Great news! You're always going to be monitored in any cardio unit so as soon as Badger gets to feeling better, and I assume he's on remote telemetry with a little pack that sends the signal hooked to the bio sensors, here's something fun to do..........Give the thing a hard whack about every 30 seconds or so and see how long it takes before someone shows up. He'll need these time wasters because once you're past the event and have a little rest, you feel pretty decent and are bored to tears. Spaw |
05 Apr 03 - 03:49 AM (#926571) Subject: RE: BS: Badger has a heart attack From: mouldy Thinking of you all. If you need any running around I'll see if I can help out. (You know how to get hold of me). Seems he's following the pattern of everyone else I know who's gone and done the same thing - they've all recovered well, and been home in a week or so. The rehab period is often the frustrating part, when they start to feel better, and yet find that as soon as they try and do stuff they're wiped out. He must do as he's told, so you'd better get your "Mrs. Ingram" hat on then, and remind him that patience is a virtue! (I wonder, has the old Squarehead got a thing about little girls in nursie dresses that he's never let on about? Some men will do anything to get that sort of attention!) It must be something in the air at this time of year because of the 4 people I know (including badger) who have had the same in the last few years, 3 of them have been around Easter! Give him a big kiss from me - I daren't do it personally 'cos I have just started with a cold. When he's out, I may pop down and annoy him! Love and prayers to you all Andrea |

I have heard of chemo therapy patients whose friends, family, neighbors, schoolmates, etc, shaved thier heads when their friend was experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatments, so why not us follow suit and offer to join in with Badger in any new regimen prescribed by the docs?! we could all become part of the healing process....do keep us posted regarding his progress, and lets pin a badge on him to remind him of all the well wishers at the "Cat!! |

Spaw, he passed your suggestion for entertainment round his area of the ward!! Hopefully we are looking at discharge later in the week.
