09 Apr 03 - 09:09 AM (#929455) Subject: RE: Lyr Req: 12 Step Parodies From: GUEST,vixen @ work You might try to get an email address for and write to Jon Campbell. I saw him with the Christmastide folks back in December (no surprise there...) and he's quite a cool character. I don't know him, or his email address, but the song is great-- one damp basement two bumperstickers three cups of coffee four ???? SER-REN-IT-TEE etc... or something like that. I'm definitely not sure I recall it right. V |

24 Apr 03 - 11:59 PM (#939707) Subject: RE: Lyr Req: 12 Step Parodies From: GUEST,John The first 11 steps can be summed up in the 1st verse. Ignore them. They don't mean shit other than to try to beat you down into a miserable parody of what you once were. This is the funny verse. In the second verse you just STOP doing whatever it is that you perceive as the problem. This is the verse with the moral. |
25 Apr 03 - 09:32 PM (#940426) Subject: RE: Lyr Req: 12 Step Parodies From: Annie Yea, John, I felt that way as recently as this morning, but I think I'm back. It feels good to be living in the solution again. It's hard being human. Sometimes, I hate it. I would go with the first verse being about the first step and it would be a jingle that you love to hate and you could just kill the next person who walks by humming it - and now you can't get it out of your head!!!! Anyway, then I think the next verse would be about the next 11 steps and funny. Lucky are we who laugh at ourselves for we are always amused. |
