I heard this song once at "the Flying Cloud" in Toronto.

Its a very funny song about a guy coming home from a vasectomy to find his wife (april) in the shower with his best friend.

The chorus includes the words "When April showers"

I dont know who wrote it but occaisonally it invades my mind.

ANY HELP WITH THE REST OF THE LYRICS/SOURCE MIGHT BRING ME SOME PEACE

thnx bo

I heard this once at a folk circle somewhere and I'd really like the words. Its a funny song about a man coming home from a vasectomy to find his wife (April) in the shower with another man.

the chorus began "When April Showers"

The only other lyric's I'm sure of refers to this strange man in the shower "tatooed on his but in letters wide it said "please pull the handle on the other side".

I heard this song once at a folk club gatherring in Toronto. Its hilarious and I'd love to get the words.

Its a song about a man who comes home unexpectantly to find his wife "APRIL" in the shower with his best friend.

The only part of the song I remember with any clarity comes from when the husband peers into the shower to see his 'friend' with his wife.

"Tattooed on his bum in letters inches wide,
It said "Please pull the handle on the other side!"

I don't know this one, bo, but I remember with a great deal of nostalgia a similar one, "April Showers," sung and recorded by Al Jolson. A lovely song that I have not thought about in years. The lyrics, I believe, are very apropro to world events today:

"Though April showers, may come you're way, they bring the flowers, that bloom in May, so if it's raining have no regrets, 'cause it's not raining rain you know, it's raining violets; so when you see clouds, upon the hill, you only see clouds of daffodils, so keep on looking for the blue bird, and listening for his song, whenever April Showers come along."

Enough thread creep, and I apologize, bo.

Bo, Sorry I can't help with the one about Viagra. I'd like to see that one, too.

If you want the complete lyrics and chords to the Al Jolson song, including the verses, please let me know.

Are we 100% sure the song title is 'When April Showers'?
