Does anyone know of a CD that has Pete Seeger singing The Foolish Frog in a concert? And if so, what is it? Thanks. Mary Hale

The only recorded version we know of is an old vinyl record called "Birds, Beasts, Bugs and Bigger Fishes" by Pete Seeger, Folkways FC7611. Do not confuse this album with "Birds, Beasts, Bugs and Little Fishes" also by Pete Seeger.

It can also be found in written form in "The Bells of Rhymney and other Songs and Stories from the Singing of Pete Seeger", published in 1964 by Oak Publications (LOC# 64-8787).

Only one recording is on the list of Folk Music Index:

      Foolish Frog - Seeger, Charles

1. Seeger, Pete. Story Songs, Columbia CL 1668, LP (196?), cut#B.01

About 20 years ago, I saw an animated version called, surprisingly enough, "The Foolish Frog." It was on 16 mm and may still be available through your public library.
