Lyr Req: Sweet Dove of Peace / Worldwide Peace

Subject: Lyr Req: Sweet Dove of Peace

I was at the National, Sutton Bonnington, last weekend and heard Bob Walser sing Sweet Dove of Peace. I am an artist and paint for a living and find that as I am painting I keep singing "Sweet Dove of Peace, let your *** encircle the whole world" over and over again but don't know the rest of the words and it is irritating me.
It was a simple song. Can someone put me out of my cyclical mysery by giving me the rest of the words.

Hi, Helen - try this Google Search (click). The song was recorded by Cathy Barton and Dave Para on their 1998 CD, Crazy Quilt. I got my copy from Mudcatters Sandy & Caroline Paton at Folk-Legacy Records, 800-836-0901 in the US. It's a lovely CD.

Cathy Barton, Dave Para, Judy Domeny - vocals A gospel music writer and publisher in Little Rock, William Ramsey wrote this song one the eve of World War I. It comes to us from the singing of Almeda Riddle, a famed traditional singer from Heber Springs, Ark., recorded on "How Firm a Foundation," (Arkansas Traditions). She recalled the song after her own son enlisted for World War II, and she wrote the last verse herself.
