Hi, I'm looking for lyrics to a song called 'Bold Doherty.' I believe I heard it on a Waterson Carthy recording, but I'm not sure. Thanks

I think its in the DT - can't get through at the moment. Otherwise, come back.

It's not there I've checked. There's a 'Bold Donelly' or something like that, but it's not the same thing.

Any chance that it is Bold O'Donahugh?

Yes, it's on Waterson:Carthy. I'm writing from a University computer room, so I can't look up the lyrics now, but will do so later, okay? Sophie P.S. It is this one, isn't it? "My name is Bold Doherty, from the north country, where there's a ? upon every street. Landlady be quicker and bring us more liqour etc. and then it goes: If I had ye Molly so plaesant and jolly although it's a folly to ask you at all, But if I had a glass and a mile to the bottom I drink to you Molly beside Donegal and sing falderol-day,fladeral-laherty etc. As you can see I don't have the complete lyrics off the top of my head right now,but please say so if this is the right song and I'll get them for you. It's not in the DT (yet), but it has been posted to this forum. Do a forum search with "Bold Doherty" or take this shortcut .
