And wonderful childrens books: Childrens tales The above site started some five years ago, but not yet well-known. Childrens Fairy Tales, books: Tales for all ages A very large site. Looking for volunteers to make additions. Many more out there. Kat, all of these, including yours, and many more, have been posted before but one never remembers what thread. It would be nice to have one thread with all of the links posted for these childrens sites together. The NIH website you posted, I remember, has been questioned in a previous thread by some who think the government might be inserting propaganda. I find it a very useful site, however. Hope my links are all OK. I will check them out. |

26 Apr 03 - 04:26 PM (#940863) Subject: RE: Childrens Songs Sites - midis & lyrics From: Joe Offer Q and Sheila gave one of the best Scout song sites, MacScouter. Since my sister and I contributed to it, I'm quite partial to the Prairie Home Companion Camp Song songbook. Be sure to look at our Girl Scout Favorites group of threads. My favorite group of threads is called Naughty Kids' Hits. When I was a Cub Scout song leader, some of the mothers complained that my songs were "obnoxious." I can't understand why. One time, I was doing a U.S. Government background investigation in the neighborhood of a security clearance applicant, and I walked up to a group of the neighbors and asked if anybody knew the applicant. One man very sternly said, "I'm not telling you anything....until you sing us that song about Charlie and the MTA." That was when I decided I'd better ask other investigators to do investigations that were were close to my home. -"Crazy Joe" Offer- |
