For all you Southwestern Mudcatters; this is the weekend, May 2 and 3 at El Presidio Park in beautiful downtown Tucson.

Please come on out to this great folk music festival, Tucson Folk Festival. This year's headliner is Richie Havens and there's lots of great music all day, both days. I have a show on the mainstage at 6:30 on Sat - so please be sur eto say hello if you make it to the festival. Also appearing this year is fellow Texan, Karen Mal.

This has been a great festival for years and Tucson is a great town. It's well worth the drive from Phoenix, LA or anywhere within a day's drive.

I hope to see y'all there!

GuestClaire is the singer and drummer and GuestSharonG. is the fiddler with Round the House (trad. Irish), on the Courtyard Stage at 2:45 on Sunday. Sharon's leading an Irish fiddle workshop at 1 on Saturday and Claire's teaching a clogging workshop at 1 on Sunday. I'm with the Pusch Ridge Ramblers (old-time country and other stuff we like ;-), on the Library Stage at 2 on Saturday, and doing and old-time song workshop on Sunday at 4. I'm not aware of any other Tucson 'Catters.

Hi Jed!

I'll look forward to seeing you there again this year. Maybe we'll have more than a word in passing this time- you & Claire should exchange some songs!

Yeah Becky and Sharon - I'll look for bouth of you. I convinced my wife to come along on this trip. I had so much good stuff to say about Tucson and the trip last year, that she decided to make the trip with me.

Library Stage at 2 on Saturday and 4 Sunday
Courtyard Stage at 2:45 on Sunday

I'll be there for both! Anything else?

Hi Art- The new cd is about 90% recorded- mixing is slated for the last weekend of May with help from Roger Lande, of Taos, New Mexico, who is doing some production work with us.

Most of our set at the Tucson folk festival will be on the new cd.

Jed- will see you & your wife in Tucson then!

Hi Jed,

It will be great to see you,and any other catters that drop by. Dave Firestine, also with Round the House will be teaching a mandolin workshop on Sunday at noon, just before my flat foot clogging class. He is also a member of the Privvy Tippers, an old time band, and they are playing on Saturday, at 3:00, I think.

Yes, the cd will be mixed at the end of May and then go to press. We are psyched.

We're here! In the library getting cool - but we missed the first chance! Sorry, missed the Pusch Ridge Ramblers. We'll try to make the others.

See ya'll, if we haven't already.

Glad we at least had a chance to say "hello", Jed. That's the thing with festivals, lots going on! Enjoy the shirt.
