BS: Reading Jubal Sackett now...

Say, now here's another great book, by the looks of it. Having had a marvelous exursion into Zane Grey, I am now back to Louis L'Amour's Sackett family. This book is especially interesting, cos it deals with an earlier American, in the 1700's, and lots of stuff about the Eastern woodland Indians. Marvelous subject for an adventure story.

LH,

Watch for the Sacketts. They'll getcha. Also they are not published in chrono-illogical order. If thats important to you.

Doesn't matter too much, I guess.

An adventure series I loved when I was a young adult was the Horatio Hornblower series by C.S. Forester. That was chronological, and very good.

These Sacketts are a rugged bunch. You wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of them.

LH They would be representative of the breed of people that settled in the USA. As you say, an adventure story to love.

I read Jubal Sackett years ago. I'm actually in the Louis L'Amour book club. :-)
