07 May 03 - 02:10 PM (#947982) Subject: RE: BS: Wireless Loos From: GUEST,Martin Gibson I saw the story about this a little while ago on Yahoo. The most stupid idea ever. I prefer clever grafiti instead. |

07 May 03 - 02:27 PM (#947987) Subject: RE: BS: Wireless Loos From: katlaughing Don't need them with the newer cellphones already giving acces damn near anywhere. Drove Rog nuts when he was in Venezuela a few years ago, not internet, BUT everywhere he went the guys would be in the loo, self in hand while talking away on their cellphones in their other hands! I mean, some places should stay INaccessible!! |
07 May 03 - 02:32 PM (#947991) Subject: RE: BS: Wireless Loos From: Rapparee There's also a story about a new computer screen that can be rolled up; it's very flexible. Maybe the computer screen could be rolled onto a core and when you finished surfing from the "throne" you could use the screen to...well, never mind. |
07 May 03 - 02:42 PM (#947996) Subject: RE: BS: Wireless Loos From: Uncle_DaveO I don't expect to see this catch on. Why? Because people will be staying in there, on line, tying up the loo, while others stand impatiently by, and subsequently complain bitterly to the management. On the other hand, there was a GOOD idea in that article: Toilet paper with MicroSoft on it. Just what I'd want to wipe with. Dave Oesterreich |

07 May 03 - 04:41 PM (#948082) Subject: RE: BS: Wireless Loos From: catspaw49 Cletus, Paw, Buford, and the Reg Boys are going to stop by this evening to show me their new crappers on casters which they built from some stuff they acquired from Bob Evans Farm, the sausage maker. I'd be surprised though if theirs included this. I do hear they have something a bit different from other porta-potties though......Stay Tuned on the Spaw's Birthday thread. Spaw |
08 May 03 - 04:26 AM (#948428) Subject: RE: BS: Wireless Loos From: Liz the Squeak Surely this is a joke? Please tell me it's a joke.... it's bad enough finding a public loo that is accessible, doesn't cost more than 10p and doesn't automatically open the door exposing you to public ridicule after 10 minutes! Or doesn't shower you with disinfectant if you go back in for the coat you left behind......... Is the keyboard for use before, after or during? I can see some hand washing issues coming up here.... And what if someone mistakes 'insert your floppy'.......? LTS |
08 May 03 - 08:30 AM (#948562) Subject: RE: BS: Wireless Loos From: Charley Noble What is really needed in the porta-potties is an ejection mechanism with a button mounted externally! 08 May 03 - 10:52 AM (#948664) Subject: RE: BS: Wireless Loos From: Midchuck This would make Utah Phillips' old story obsolete... The one about the (American) Indian who joined the Navy and got trained as an electrician. After he got out, he went home, and ran electricity in to all the tribal outhouses. He was, of course, the first Indian who ever wired a head for a reservation. P. |

08 May 03 - 03:07 PM (#948824) Subject: RE: BS: Wireless Loos From: Liz the Squeak Will all the Emails come in with footers that say 'Now wash your hands please'? And who's going to be brave enough to set up the webcam? Regretably, I know some perverts who would be rivetted to the screen watching it! LTS |
08 May 03 - 04:10 PM (#948856) Subject: RE: BS: Wireless Loos From: Bat Goddess I stayed in a place once with a phone in the bathroom. A bit over the top, I thought. This, on the other hand is right up there with caffeinated glow in the dark beer (yes, there IS such a product!). I give Tom a hard time when he brings the cordless phone up to me while I'm lounging in my bubble bath. I agree, the best part of the deal is toilet paper with Microsloth on it. Sure does open up a lot of possible punnish comments, though. Linn |
