12 May 03 - 12:50 PM (#951097) Subject: Cajun tune about Napolean From: GUEST,Lisa Does anyone know the name of a beautiful tune that Michael Doucet (Beausoleil) performs - the only thing I can remember is that he introduced it by saying that it related to Acadian history and Napolean. I have the melody in my head but, since it's sung in Cajun French, I don't have any of the lyrics. You folks do wonders - I've seen it. Any ideas on this? |

The tune was trad, but the words were new. I think they just called it "Retraite de Bonaparte," so you might search the web for this. |
