From: RoyH (Burl) Terkel fans, take a look at, and listen to, www.studsterkel.org This includes a brilliant interview from 'Division Street' with Kid Pharoah, small time crook and a man with a distinctive take on the English language. 'Working' is my favourite Terkel book, while 'The Great Divide, Second Thoughts on the American Dream' ' is the most salutary. Studs' autobiography 'Talking to Myself' is well worth a look. Studs is an American treasure. Long may he reign. Burl. |
