Its a pity that Wombwell Festival clahes with Cleethorpes but it has a great line up and is incredibly cheap! Will we see any of you there?http://freespace.virgin.net/wath.folk/copy-of-wombwell-music---arts-fair.htm-(2)/odyframe.htm

It's a great pity that when I was a folk starved teenager and living near Wombwell that we didn't have the same sort of folk stuff that you have now.

All we had was Room At The Top in Barnsley which, although excellent, was very difficult to get home from. I suppose I could have left early to catch a bus but then I would have missed some wonderful music from people like Dave Burland, Tony Heald and Derek and Dorothy Elliott.

It was a very long walk home.

I'd be willing to be that it has been said before by many that those who were at the festival before will be "going back to the Wombwell" actually as well as for an inspirational "drink" of those good waters ! (Am I correct??)

That's at least a double pun and I'm proud of it.

That should be "bet", not "be".

And it should read,
"I'd be willing to bet that it has been said before by many of those who were at the festival before that they will be going back to the Womb-well actually as well as for an inspirational drink of those good waters. "

Anyone going this weekend should try and catch Tegwin Roberts (she should be playing with Emma but Emma's got her finals for her Masters) Teg is on on Sunday. Still not sure if I'll be there Sat or Sun or both.
