Uilleann pipe theft - Southern California

I saw a story in the LA Times today about somebody stealing two sets of uilleann pipes from Gabriel McKeagney in San Juan Capistrano. Happened a week ago. According to the story, McKeagney suspects it was another piper because only the pipes, some CDs and sheet music were taken.

Anybody know more about this? Here's the URL for LA Times story:

The good news about this, is that there are so few sets around, they are often easy to recover, Here in New York, Mike McQuade had his pipes stolen, and they were found in a paun shop in a few days. Unlike fiddles and flutes etc. they are real easy to spot. Good luck to him. Larry

It must feel akin to heart failure seeing a fullset of uillean pipes being stolen like that.If it was another piper I can't imagine what joy they could derive from playing guilty music on a stolen instrument like that,I suppose I just naively believe in things like conscience.

DISGUSTING!!!
CANT STAND A THIEF AT THE BEST OF TIMES - BUT TO STEAL SOMEONE'S MUSICAL INSTRUMENT. I AGREE, CHOP OFF THEIR HANDS!
