23 May 03 - 02:18 PM (#958326) Subject: Free folk music day, Cambridge UK, 31st May From: Grab If you live in Cambridge, there's a folk music day happening at the Red Lion pub in Cherry Hinton on 31st May. Things start at 12-ish and go on until things shut in the evening. There's some local amateur musicians playing during the day, there's an open session in the late afternoon, and in the evening there are some local bands playing. I can't remember exactly who, but Slide and the Cambridge Crofters are two I can remember. It's all free (apart from the food and beer!). Buckets will be passed though for donations to a local children's charity. This is the second year it's been run. Last year was pretty good, so hopefully this year will be just as much fun.
