Anything that needs a regular beat will do - one of the song stories like Admiral Benbow (almost any version) or Captain Ward and the Rainbow.

And I'd stop playing with yourself if I were you, it will make you go blind.

Scarpi, ol' Skin! You have to come to New York and hear Mary Courtney, she plays guitar, but conciders her first ballad instrument the Bodhran, she is pure brilliant! I have to catch up on a few bills, then send you the new CDs and my song book, keep Iceland cooking, ol' pal. Cheers Larry
PS
Dan was kicking himself all the way home to the US, he lost your number after talking to you in Iceland a few months back.

I could depend on what sort of beat you like to play on the bodhran. I think that a polka beat should work very well, so 'New York Girls' or 'On Board The Kangaroo' would be excellent. Good luck Skarpi, and please let us know how it works out.

"What do You do with the Drunken Sailor" has a nice beat, and lots of room for new and exciting Icelandic verses.

Cheerily,
