28 May 03 - 11:29 PM (#960972) Subject: What is this (movie) song? From: TIA Just saw the movie "Tuck Everlasting" with William Hurt and Sissy Spacek. Anyone know the name of the tune that figures prominently (the music box in the movie plays it)? It sounds Dorian or Mixolydian -- Scots/Irish/Appalachian perhaps? Thanks in advance. TIA |

The soundtrack is available at Amazon. The Amazon page also has some links to audio samples -- you might find the exact one you are looking for. |

It sounds like a modal fiddle tune, but it's not one I recognize, and it's possible that Ross, the composer, created it for this movie. Blessings, Barbara |
