Hi there,
I'm looking for the lyrics from the song "Barbecue King", from bluesman Jorma Kaukonen. If anyone could help I'd appreciate.
                                              thanks

"Barbecue" is one of those words with strangely inconsistent spelling. According to the record company's own web site, the album title is spelled "Barbecue King" but the song title is spelled "Barbeque King."

Anyway, here's what I transcribed from a sound sample at Yahoo! Shopping - Music:

The barbecue king is comin' to town.
With his shiny pants, well, he looks like a clown,
And he'll cook your barbecue anyway you please.

"He'll be filling up your kettle, mama
With every pound of meat the man can squeeze."

I'd like to thank for the help from Jim e Michael. I have a few lyrics from Jorma/Hot Tuna, and in case of interest just let me know and I'd be glad to share.
            best wishes

He'll be filling up your kettle, mama

The Barbecue king now he's having fun.
He's putting his sauce on his barbecue bun.
And he'll cook your barbecue anyway you please.
He'll be filling up your kettle, mama
With every pound of meat the man can squeeze.

All fine except that it's "He's putting the taste on your garlic bread bun" and not "He's putting his sauce on his barbecue bun"
