This guy, Chris Bozung, is a guitar maker who seems to know his stuff about the wood...(I am NOT a guitarist, so I don't know if he is a GOOD maker) He has a page which has a fascinating concept! He got some friends and himself into a studio and recorded a bunch of different models of his guitars, with a number of classics for comparison, and played them on 4 different tunes for comparison. He is, of course, promoting HIS instruments, but that's ok. http://www.cbguitars.com/soundbites.htm his main page is here Only problem is, he kept the sound bytes im .wav format, so they take awhile to load unless you are on broadband. |

I know the word "classic" gets tossed around pretty liberally, but in some contexts it has a specific meaning. I was expecting guitars with wide fingerboards strung with nylon strings. Don Firth |
