Tech: Changing to high speed cable

We will be changing our internet service provider tomorrow, from a high speed phone line to cable, but will be continuing to use the same web browser. Will this mean that my personal page on Mudcat will be wiped out? I am assuming that we will have to become members all over again?

Thanks.

Edmund

Not at all... You 'membership' information is contained in a little file that Mudcat stored on your computer called a "cookie"... It tells the mudcat compters who your computer is, and logs you in and lets you get PMs and such....

You'll be fine... better than fine, cause you won't have to coap with dial-up hell anymore!

Welcome to the REAL internet!

:-)

Shouldn't be a problem, but if you suddenly appear as a GUEST, go to "Quick Links" and log in. That will reactivate your cookie.
