17 Jun 03 - 10:27 AM (#967605) Subject: Good Vibes etc required for Ted Clark From: Dave Bryant Ted Clark, a melodeon player from East Peckham, Kent, UK is currently in St Thomas' Hospital London, after a re-occurrence of a heart condition. For many years Ted was the leader of the dance band FOCUS and a regular member of "Travelling Folk". More recently he was the third member of the group "Barlecorn" with Linda and myself. He has had to drop out of things recently after his wife Cath suffered a stroke, so we were rather upset to hear that his own health has now deteriorated. I hope to visit him tonight and and should then be able to post further details of his condition. |

18 Jun 03 - 11:06 AM (#968432) Subject: RE: Good Vibes etc required for Ted Clark From: Dave Bryant I went to visit Ted last night, but after I'd got all the way up to the 7th floor of East Wing, they told me that he'd been sent home. We rang Cath and she said that he has been told to rest while they continue to monitor him. We might try to get down to see him over the weekend - Knockholt's halfway there. |

01 Aug 03 - 04:28 AM (#994820) Subject: RE: Good Vibes etc required for Ted Clark From: Dave Bryant Heard from Cath last night. The op seems to have gone OK, but of course Ted was still in the recovery ward and it will be a few days until we really know how things are. |

06 Aug 03 - 04:41 AM (#997723) Subject: RE: Good Vibes etc required for Ted Clark From: Dave Bryant Linda and I saw Ted on Monday evening and he seemed quite cheerful. The operation seems to have gone OK - the latest bit of blood vessel re-located is out of his left arm - so I hope it doesn't affect his playing. He's hoping to be out and back home with Cath by the weekend. Linda and I fly off to Budapest tomorrow for the next 5/6 days so I won't have any more news until then. Once that he's home, I'm sure that he'll be glad to hear from any of his friends down in Kent. |

01 Oct 03 - 04:48 AM (#1027016) Subject: RE: Good Vibes etc required for Ted Clark From: Dave Bryant Great News, Ted and Cathy were at the session at "The Black Horse", Stanstead last Thursday. Ted's still having to take things very gently, but he played quite a few tunes in spite of the fact that he's got numb fingers on one hand - he definitely hasn't lost the touch ! Sorry about the delay in posting this, but everytime I've tried, Mudcat's crashed ! |
