18 Jun 03 - 11:03 AM (#968429) Subject: Celtic Colours - Tommy Sands From: George Seto - af221@chebucto.ns.ca The lineup for this year's Celtic Colours Festival in Cape Breton is now online. Check it out at This year, a member of the Sands Family, Tommy Sands, will be coming to the festival for the first time! Celtic Colours is a festival held on Cape Breton Island in many different venues all across the island over the space of 9 days. It starts on the Friday of the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday (second Monday of October), and lasts until the following Saturday (well REALLY the Sunday morning). There are 3 to 4 different venues in the evening each night, and sometimes a matinee as well. For the Gaelic community Celtic Colours will also have for the first time, Donnie Murdo MacLeod, originally of Lewis. AS well, Margaret Bennett will return for a third appearance. Lots of other interesting acts as well. Have a look at the link, and start booking B&B's and airplane tickets. |
18 Jun 03 - 11:17 AM (#968441) Subject: RE: Celtic Colours - Tommy Sands From: GUEST,Dale Sounds good, as usual, George. And just as usual, there is not much likelihood that I will get up there, though I think about it most every year. Heck, the Cottars are in Memphis on Sunday, and I have just about talked myself out of going on even that short trip. Too much going on around here. One recommendation ~~ get to see Dirk Powell and Christine Balfa if their schedule and yours are compatible. I have seen (and enjoyed) both, though at different times. |
