Hi folks !

I amloking for some Mary Black' songs, such as Carolina Rua, Columbus, Past the point of Rescue etc...

I did ont find anything in DT. Actually I thought Mary Black was better presented here, since she is a typical irish woman... Or am I wrong ??

Thanks for anything ;-)

Jeremie

...a typical irish woman...
Your point being...?

If you're wanting traditional/folk songs that Mary sings, this would be the place to ask, indeed.
But Mary now sings a broad range of songs, some which would be less likely to be found here.

I'm sorry but I don't recognise any of the titles you mention.

Hi, Jeremie - as Noreen said, you'll find many of the traditional songs Mary Black sings here, and you'll also find some of the more recently composed songs that she's recorded. Generally, the orientation of this site has been toward the songs, rather than toward the performers. I suppose that's because many of us prefer to sing the songs moreso than listening to the recrodings of a given performer.
The songs are here, but gathered more by song than by performer. Your best best is to use our search engine and enter a distinctive phrase from the song - searching by title can lead you astray.
I added crossindexing up top for the few Mary Black threads we have.

Try http://www.mary-black.net/ for lyrics. Look under "discography." Lots of lyrics.

Many of the lyrics she sings are conveniently found on the
Mary Black Homepage

I have linked directly to the fine song Past the point of rescue but you might find also the others.

This YouTube link will lead you to some really lovely recordings by Mary Black with Emmylou Harris. Who could ask for more?

Past the Point of Rescue was originally by a chap called Hal Ketcham (I think that's how you spell it) and it's on youtube - I learned it from there.
