(Sorry. That was not for suspense. I meant to say it all in one posting but pushed a wrong key.)

From Canada's PARENTS' CHOICE FOUNDATION:

"Up and Over the Moon!                                       2003 Parents' Choice Recommended Award

The Parents' Choice Awards program received many strong entries this season; these products are among the small percentage selected to receive a Parents' Choice Award.

If you're visiting our website and do not see your product information posted, please don't despair. Parents' Choice is launching a new website design on July 10, 2003, and we have decided to release the newest Parents' Choice Award winners when the site debuts.

I hope this brief but hearty congratulations will suffice until you receive the Parents' Choice Awards certificate honoring your work.

"UP AND OVER THE MOON!" was co-produced by Ken Whiteley and Kathy Reid-Naiman. Many wonderful musicians play on the album, including a couple of other Mudcatters.
This is my first CD. I couldn't be more happy!!!

Thanks so much!

Yes, soundclips can be heard at my website:

Ordering information is on the website. Wholesale orders should go through Merriweather Records:

Here's a quote I love, from Dwain Wilder (Bear Meadow Dulcimers - Rochester NY):

"I've spent the day with your CD. It is rare for me to spend a whole day with a single CD, but "Up and Over the Moon" is irresistible! You really have achieved a humor that is fresh, unpatronizing, and completely other than the corporate cuteness and correctness (e.g. Disney Studios) that so plagues thinking about children in the U.S. And, needless to say, I found it appealing even though I'm about ten times the age of your target audience."

Where's the songbook/lyrics/chord? Here's the children's music I've been looking for! I can see doing it at family singalongs and selling them your CD!

Love your singing-- it sounds like you're fresh caught between two giggle-attacks, having so much fun yourself!

Really nice to hear from you all! I found Mudcat to be a very encouraging place for me over the past year. I had a lot to learn, and I kept a thread-diary here of my experiences.   Your continued support and enthusiasm means a lot to me. Thanks again.

Having only just joined, I am thrilled to read the posts on this page, sounds like a real friendly place to be.

Like to add my CONGRATS to Black Walnut and every good wish for the future.

I have a young boy so I'm now going to listen to the CD and hopefully try to buy it.

Best Wishes,

John

Must share a wonderful review I received this week from Bram....

"One of the most difficult challenges in songwriting is to create a new song that has that feeling of well-worn and comfortable familiarity that so many old folk songs possess. This wonderful collection of old and old-feeling new songs is perfect for young children and their families. Debbie Carroll and her musical friends have created a thoroughly charming listening experience featuring clear and sweet singing in the best folk tradition, with an engaging variety of instrumental accompaniments produced by the versatile Ken Whiteley. Up and Over the Moon clearly belongs in the company of the finest folk recordings for young children in North America."

If you only had any idea how humbling all of this is, Bert! My eyes are bulging out much farther than my chest! Add the grin and you've got something pretty close to a Hallowe'en pumpkin.

I should mention that anyone who would like to order from outside Canada can get it through GEMM - www.gemm.com. Put in my name, Debbie Carroll, or the title, UP AND OVER THE MOON!, and you should be well on your way.    Information for ordering within Canada is on my website.

Thank you again for all the wonderful support here,

Thanks W'hillbilly!

Hi Dani....try typing in www.debbiecarroll.com. For orders outside Canada, the easiest and quickest way (unless you are near Butterfly Books in Wisconsin) is to order at www.gemm.com. If you are having trouble with blue clickies in threads, just try typing them in by hand. I hope these work for you. Please let me know if you have any problems.
