30 Jul 02 - 02:38 PM (#757053) Subject: Friend has Cambridge FF ticket for sale From: Grab A last-minute chance to get a ticket to the Cambridge FF! Never to be repeated! And all that ticket-tout crap... A couple of ppl were asking about getting a ticket to the Cambridge Folk Festival. A friend of mine (non-Mudcatter) has just emailed round the local folkies to say she's got a ticket spare, and did we know anyone interested? I gave her the emails of the two ppl who posted threads asking for a ticket, but is there anyone else who still wants a ticket? The ticket is a concessions one for the whole 4 days at £47. Apparently you can just pay the difference between that and a normal ticket at the gate if you're not unemployed/over 60/a student/claiming benefit. It doesn't cover camping. If you're after the ticket, post emails or preferably phone numbers on here, and my friend will get back to you. She (or I) will bung a post on here when it's gone, so no-one gets disappointed. Graham. |

30 Jul 02 - 02:45 PM (#757054) Subject: RE: Friend has Cambridge FF ticket for sale From: Grab Oops. To clarify, I don't yet know how much she's selling it for. The ticket cost £47 from the ticket office, so if you're not a concession then you'll need to pay the difference to make it up (IIRC a full-price ticket is £62, so that's an extra £15). I guess if there's only one person interested, it'll go cheap; if she gets trampled in the rush then she may hold out for making a small profit on it. :-) Or she may just ditch it for the list price on a first-come first-served basis. Post here anyway if you're interested. Graham. |

04 Jul 03 - 03:10 PM (#976847) Subject: Cambridge Folk Festival tickets for sale From: Ed. Due to the fact that life sometimes gives you a rough deal (a serious cancer scare in this case), I have 3 Weekend tickets for the Cambridge Folk Festival that I cannot use. Hence, they are for sale at cost price. I'd prefer a personal exchange (none of the 'you send me them first' stuff). I currently live in Stockport (just south of Manchester) so it'd be good to get a local buyer. I'd also prefer to sell all three as a set but am aware that that might not be possible. The tickets are for the full Weekend with camping at Coldham's Common. Post here, PM me or email edpellow@yahoo.co.uk for more information. |

05 Jul 03 - 04:40 AM (#977169) Subject: RE: Cambridge Folk Festival tickets for sale From: Ed. *Refresh* This a genuine offer, so if you're interested, or know anyone else who might be please get in touch. I really don't fancy driving all the way down to tout them at the gate... |

05 Jul 03 - 06:30 AM (#977198) Subject: RE: Cambridge Folk Festival tickets for sale From: Ed. Thanks, Ralphie The cancer scare isn't mine btw, but one of the people I was going to go with. Going by myself just wouldn't be the same... Thanks for the tip. I'll put my 'advert' on the BBC site, and a couple of usenet sites too. |

22 Jul 03 - 09:57 PM (#988498) Subject: RE: Cambridge Folk Festival tickets for sale From: Peter K (Fionn) Ed, you certainly managed to get a gratuitously surly tone into your ad, unlike the others who have been offering Cambridge tickets in the cafe. Try trusting people. (Yes, even fellow Mudcatters.) You'd be surprised how often you got away with it! Among second-hand booksellers it's almost the de rigeur method of doing business. |
