14 Jul 03 - 05:41 PM (#983275) Subject: a pusher called robin hood From: GUEST,billy bob hi one and all snuffy gave me this addy in swansea great shanty festival, by the way. any way wonder if anyone can help me. i'm looking for the lyrics to a song i heard some time ago. and all i can remember is the first bit, that goes:- 'TWAS IN THE FOREST OF SHEARWOOD IN THE YEAR TWELVE HUNDRED AND TEN THERE LIVED A PUSHER CALLED ROBIN HOOD AND HIS BAND OF VERRY MERRY MEN THERE WAS FRYER TUCK, WITH WHOM NOTHING RHYMES AND MAID MARION, THE ACID QUEEN THEY LIVED ON NUTS AND BERR-IE-AY AND VERIOUS SPOTTED DE-HE-HEAR this is all i can recall please, please, if you know the rest of the words or is you know of a recording, post a responce thanx in antisipation billy bob |

It was recorded by Fred Wedlock on his Home Made (vinyl) record ca.1975. The lyrics are in a thread named Weed Songs - just search on "Robin Head" to find them (my clickies are as good as Margaret Thatcher's promises). |
