Usually, the LPs you find in flea markets are pretty shabby, not to mention being over-represented by the likes of Herb Alpert, Mantovani and countless Christmas mixes. This time it was different! I picked up a bunch at 50 cents each - several Bok, Muir, Trickett, Bert & I, and........ Captain Kendall Morse "Seagulls and Summer People" on Folk-Legacy. All in beautiful condition. (Also a neat still-sealed Gene Autry, which is headed straight to eBay. I'm putting Kendall into the Mudcat auction, but you can forget about that 50 cent part. |

My mother went into sudden, early labor and I remember following the ambulance with my father driving the '37 Plymouth. I thought it was great fun pretending the chrome plated Mayflower emblem on the glove compartment was a horn and yelling "beep, beep". I can also remember the iron tase and smell of the water from the pitcher pump by the front door. Well, the "beep, beep" part is sort of musical content! Chip |
