I am looking for the name of the song or the artist who has a song with the sentence " write it on a pound note, pound note. " It comes from a song in the '80's .Is there anyone out there ? Thanks

I think its from an Adam Ant song, possibly Prince Charming.

I've just checked it on the International Lyrics server (which is the best place to look for these kind of lyrics) and it is Adam Ant; it's from the song 'Goody Two Shoes (click here)'.
