Lyr Req: Rain (when ya gonna rain again?)

Subject: Request: Rain, when you going to rain again..
From: Coralena

Does anyone know if there are any more verses to this song? This is another one my Grandmama sang.

Rain, when you going to rain again Rain
rain the rivers deep again, shower your blessings on me.

The sheep are in the meadow
The cows are in the corn
They know something is wrong
Old mother earth can never give birth when you'er away so long

Rain, when you going to rain again rain
rain the rivers deep again, shower your blessings on me.

Here are the lyrics I got from a barbershop quartet CD.

Rain, when ya gonna rain again, Rain, grow the golden grain again.
Shower your blessings on me (let it rain)
Rain, make the rivers deep again,Rain please don't let me weep again.
Shower your blessing on me
The cows in the meadow and the sheep in the corn, know that something is wrong
Old Mother Earth can never give birth, when you're away so long.
Rain, make it green in lover's lane, Rain, for my gal and me again
Shower your blessings on me.

The other thread (linked above) has a further link to a recording. This is a good song. It's in the Lester Levy collection, but we can't see the pages. I guess somebody hopes to make another dime off this song, so they have blocked access.

Like that's going to happen...

Shine your blessings on me..

YouTube: “1934 USA singers and music”. The complete song is sung with orchestra. Very pretty. About the 4th or 5th song on the video.
