Jagz axes blues night

At the risk of boring anonymous guests...
I've always boasted "I've emptied bigger rooms than this" but that was by singing, I've never closed a club just by being in the audience before. Perhaps I should change my aftershave.
I turned up last night to hear the Paul Rose band only to be turned away as they've cancelled the rest of the summer programme, including such favourites as Papa George, because of poor attendances (though Lightnin' Willie last week pulled a good crowd).
Starting up again in Sept., going back to Tuesdays like last year: I'll be in Greece for some of those. Of the Oct dates someone called Luddy Sams on 7th Oct and Papa George on 21st Oct.
The underground night club with DJs playing funky stuff for the younger set is still running.
Hope it works this time.

PS
Another band planned twice for October is TBA!
Herself is devastated: one night when she could have friends round or do her own thing safe from me embarrassing her playing my recordings or(even worse) my washboard.
So much so that she would even drive me to Jagz, leaving me to drink & walk (stagger) home. She'd told me she had a lover in while I was out but, shock, horror, when I got home early on Thursday she was in the kitchen, cooking for the freezer. What duplicity, can the marriage survive...?
She's hoping the Tuesday sessions in the Autumn don't fold as well...or I might be forced to go to a folk club...where's that shaky egg....?
