BS: Festival Photographs UK

I noticed the Festival Photographs on the Trim Rig and A Doxy Website have a few Mudcatters on them.
Could it be Mrs and Mrs D. on Pic 9 on the Shellback's site ?

Any more out there?

If we're asleep on a train then yes it is us!

it's nice to see that the wildlife feels safe enough to rest peacefully.

Yep, Derek & Jules (TR&AD) learnt all they know singing with the Shellbacks, and are good friends.

Please don't hold it against them though... :0)

Gollocks !!! Derek was singing when the Shellbacks were still Landlubbers.

how are those pictures supposed to work? I thought I'd take a peek to see the Shellbacks, whom I will be meeting this Fall...but my browser said there were 66 photos, and started showing me progress at the bottom of the screen....then it stalled at 31 thumbnails, saying it had loaded 1.2 million bytes of data, and would not respond to a click on any one of the partially displayed thumbnails. (Now the page seems not to be responding at all)

Is the page REALLY trying to load all of the 66 pictures at once? I will try again later, using other tricks, when the site is working again--but I suspect there is an easier way to show the wonderul images that does not demand such intensive use of computer power.

well...I am not sure I ever got all the page loaded...I tried to stop the above post, as I was not sure what was happening, but my PC was totally bogged down. When the Shellback pics finally stopped loading, it said there were 3.1 MB of data loaded!....

I did a 'view source' on the page and it seems to have a very complex set of scripts controlling the display, and my poor old machine just couldn't cope.

What pictures I DID see showed some folks having a good time on a train, though! ..

Raggy, you are of course correct.

Derek and Jules are, as are the other Shellbacks, experienced musicians in their own right. I was merely making the connection in what I thought was a jovial fashion as they are good friends, and hoped no offence would be taken.

Yes Bill, it does seem to download all the pics at once. Caused my system to lock up too, as it has memory problems atm (rather like me in that respect). Seems an inefficient way of doing things, at least for those like you & me.

(Bill, for some Shellback photies go to the Shellback website. There won't be quite that many of us coming to America!)

And some Shellback photies of mine are here, including one with Mudcatter Chanteyranger who was visiting from San Francisco.

(BTW, why is this thread below the BS line, while Bob Hope is up at the top?)

DONT try the download unless you have a lot of spare memory AND plenty of processing power. I eventualy downloaded the full sheebang but then everytime I moved the mouse to scroll down the pictures it took the pc 5 minutes to catch up with every moove!!

Sorry folks, didn't realise the problems it would cause opening up the pictures. I use the pc at work and it has quite a bit of "oooommphhh".
Like your pictures Noreen, I suppose I better give your back, I think I've had it long enough.:0)

That's ok, Leighton, there's enough to go around ;0)

I e-mailed Derek and he's looking into it.
