I'm urgently looking for the lyrics of an American folk song with title / first sentence "Good luck, good health, god bless you". Appreciate it if you could let me where to get it. Thanks

It sounds like a line from the last verse of "Time Changes Everything" by Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys.

There was a time when I thought of no other
And we sang our own love's refrain
And out hearts beat as one as we had our fun
But time changes everything

And when you left me myt poor heart was broken
Our romance seemed all in vain
The dark clouds are gone and there's blue skies again
Yes time changes everything

The time has passed and I have forgot you
Mother nature dows wonderful things
I guess it is true for me and for you
Cause time changes everything

Oh you can change the name of an old song
Rearrange it and make it swing
I thought nothing could stop me from loving you
But time changes everything

So good luck to you, may God bless you
I can't say we won't love again
You have gone your way and I'll go mine
Cause time changes everything

There's a Billy Cotton hit by that title, but I don't have the lyrics. However you can find the Amazon listing here for the UK.

Also, Connie Francis recorded the song on her
White Sox. Pink Lipstick CD (Disk 3).

And finally there is an MP# recording at this spot. This is a very corny song, BTW...

I don't think either of these are it. I found references to this as a title but no lyrics.

There's a song forming in my mind which I think might be the Billy Cotton one ...... it goes ----

Good luck, good health, God bless you
Thats all my heart can say
Good luck, good health, God bless you
And guide you on your way
Wherever you may wander, wherever you may roam? (whenever we're apart)
Good luck, good health, God bless you and keep you
???...................................

Perhaps someone else might add a little more

When I clicked on Amos' blue clicky I thought I was listening to Bing Crosby, for sure. Then Nutty's reference led to Michael Holliday, a name new to me. I've learned that he died in 1969. Is he still listened to as one of the great old-timers? Thank you.

Nutty's missing last line is
"And keep you still in my heart"

Yes, you're right. See you soon at Whitby.

Sheila. I think Michael Holliday's fame was mainly confined to the UK. His voice certainly was very similar to Crosby's, though I don't think there was any attempt on his part to 'copy' Bing.

Thanks Willa. I was afraid I had gotten lost in a time warp. He's got a beautiful voice for very traditional songs.

There seems to be little about Michael Holliday on the web. Thsi seems about as good as it gets.
