02 Aug 03 - 07:26 AM (#995470) Subject: RE: BS: My arm is in a sling....... From: wysiwyg .... sounds like a great time to hear others' music, to go hear it live to support it or to review recordings (online or borrowed if not bought) to find new material to learn once you're back in gear. And-- sing! ~S~ |

From: Sandra in Sydney poor Jenny If you can get Himself into the driver's seat there are 2 great concerts next week - JennyO's club meets Thursday (Rachel Hore) & Almost Acoustic (us not them) on Saturday. You'll find me collecting the money both nights & I will be please to see you both & take money from Himself. Maybe you can bring a cushion like Jenny did after her wrist operations. Maybe I'll bring along the pics of Jenny & her cushion & get mtching ones of you. sandra I'm strongly right-handed, & can no longer use mousie in my right hand after 8 years of using it in my left since I decided to share the load after getting RSI in both hands from excessive over-use of computers. Tho it skittered all over the screen when I was learning to use it in my left hand. Good luck. |

02 Aug 03 - 09:42 AM (#995512) Subject: RE: BS: My arm is in a sling....... From: JennyO Hello Jennie. No K-nit k-nit k-nit? :-( Does this explain why you haven't answered the email I sent you last week? Or did I get your email address wrong? I can recommend the cushion for resting your arm, although a certain person who shall remain nameless scoffed at it. I even took it with me on the International Womens Day march! Sandra, what pictures have you got of me that I don't know about? Yes Jennie, do come and see Rachel Hore on Thursday. She is excellent. You can stick your cushion on the table if you like. What a bunch of old crocks we are! Jenny |

03 Aug 03 - 05:02 AM (#995840) Subject: RE: BS: My arm is in a sling....... From: gnu I wish you a speedy recovery. Such injuries can be more painful to the head than the limb and I hope you can stand the tediousness of it all. Now, left-hand mouse ? I could never understand why any right-handed person would use the right hand for the mouse. I automatically started using the left hand so that my right hand was free for the keyboard, note-taking, calculator, sketching, whatever (go ahead Spaw). Yet, I know only one other person who uses the mouse "opposite-hand". |

From: Leadfingers Because of the location of my desk (too close to the left side wall) I started using my left hand for the mouse and can now claim to be ambidextrous with the mouse. Those of you who have been in the MUDCHAT wil know that I still cant type without LOTS of typos though. |

03 Aug 03 - 09:26 PM (#996168) Subject: RE: BS: My arm is in a sling....... From: JennieG Thank you all for the cheery words! I am finding left-handed mouse is OK, it's typing that I am not good at, I keep hitting the wrong keys. Takes twice as long as it should to type a short letter. Jenny I didn't get your email, did you get my address correct? PM me for my phone no if you like. Sandra I can't get to Almost Accoustic on Saturday, I will be in Canberra this weekend, it's the Canberra quilt show, Himself is driving. The moral of this is be careful who your dance partner is. I had a minor elbow problem which was turned into a major one by being swung too hard while dancing Strip The Willow. That was a year ago! It has really impacted on my life I can tell you. But I can still sing - choir practice tonight - la la la - and recite - the boy stood on the burning deck etc - Cheers Jennie |
