06 Aug 03 - 03:01 PM (#998070) Subject: RIP: Will Atkinson From: greg stephens We have just lost Will Atkinson, legendary Northumbrian mouth organ player(also melodeon), a treasure of English music, a player of great bounce, with a great ability to balance melody and rhythm. And a character as well, who really loved his music. I can't do blue clickies, so I hope someone could direct people to Alistair Anderson's appreciation of him in today's Guardian or incorporate it in this thread. Sadly missed, but memories and recordings will make him live on. |
