Are there any one here who attended this gala event? And did you enjoy it. I understand that it was the 56th annual event.
I ask because, I have not seen any mention of it here on the Mudcat.

Perhaps I should mention that the festival was held in Bangor Maine this weekend . Ended tonight I lisened to some of it on PBS. Had a great Cajan band.

That's the National Folk Festival, a festival that moves around the U.S., featuring national acts, and examining local culture as well.

But, sorry, I wasn't there.

I think it is interesting that I was hired to perform at the National Folk festival in Lowell Mass. and at ElPaso Tx. yet here in my home state, I'm invisible.
