this one?

I would die for you
Lay down my life for you
The only thing that means everything to me
'Cause when you're in my arms
You make me prouder
Than anything I ever could achieve
And you make everything that used to seem so big
Seem to be so small since you arrived

On Angel's Wings, an angelical formation
Angel's wings, like letters in the sky
Now I know no matter what the question
Love is the answer, it's written on Angel's Wings

And I often wonder why, someone as flawed as I
Deserves to be as happy as you make me
So as the years roll by
I'll be there by your side
I'll follow you wherever your heart takes me
Cause you make everything that used to be so big
Seem to be so small since you arrived

On Angel's Wings, an angelical formation
Angel's wings, like letters in the sky
Now I know no matter what the question
Love is the answer, it's written on Angel's Wings

Now anyone who's felt the touch of heaven in their lives
Will know the way I'm feeling looking in my baby's eyes
That's why I can't bear to be too far away
I know that God must love me cause he sent you to me on Angel's Wings

I only have white light, white heat, white trash by social distortion ( i interviewed them for a student radio show in the ninties) there is a track called "when the angels sing" i can do the lyrics for you if in the umlikley event it is what you are after. Well I interviewed nearly all of them but the Drummer (delightfully named Chuck Biscuits) didn't turn up 'cos he got lost at Dover Cllr

Here's the one Cllr mentions:

SOCIAL DISTORTION LYRICS

"When The Angels Sing"

At last we meet again, dear God
Hear the angels sing
The funerals are nicer when we know you're there
When the angels sing
Sometimes
I try so hard
To understand
The things you do
I like to question you
When it all comes down
Hear the angels sing
Stand up strong
Feel the pain
When the angels sing
Love
And death
Don't mean a thing
Till the angels sing

The prisoners pray when they're on to death row
When the angels sing
The junky
Cries for love but it's all run out
When the angels sing
The sins
Of the world
And it's cold on the streets
And you're all alone
And the tears
They start to fall
When it all comes down
Hear the angels sing

Stand up strong
Feel the pain
When the angels sing
Love
And death
Don't mean a thing
Till the angels sing
Little
By little
Day by day
I watch the children play
Cause life
And death
Don't mean a thing
Till the angels sing

When the angel of death comes to looking for me
Hear the angels sing
I hope I was everything I was supposed to be
When the angels sing
There's gotta be a heaven
Cause I've already done
My time in hell
And a little
Baby's born when it all comes down
Hear the angels sing

Stand up strong
Feel the pain
When the angels sing
Love
And death
Don't mean a thing
Till the angels sing
Little
By little
Day by day
I watch the children play
Cause life
And death
Don't mean a thing
Till the angels sing

I've got a Social Distortion story. In the mid 80's or so, when my son lived in Northampton, MA, he met them and they wound up going to a party at his place. He had a bull-fighting sword of some type that a friend had given him from a family trip to Spain. He also had a samurai-type sword which he'd bought in MA. He was about 18/19yrs. and on his own as a building manager with a penthouse rent-free.

Anyway, two of the band members got into a mock-battle with the swords and the bass-player accidentally got cut by the sword from Spain!

The following year they came back on tour, left a note on his door inviting him to their hotel room where they gave him free passes for their concert and again attended a party at his house afterwards, sans any sword-play.

About eight or so years later, he was living in Louisville when they came there on tour. He wanted to see them again, but was between paydays, so went to the venue and asked their manager to ask the bassist if he remembered getting cut in a sword fight in Northampton. After the manager talked to them, the bassist came out to see them. He remembered my son but not his name and said that of course he remembered the sword fight, then pulled up his shirt to show them the scar! He gave them passes and they once again had a great time at a Social Distorition concert.*bg* FWIW...

Social Distortion was an awesome band. Besides their punk stylings, they incorporated a lot of old blues and country, mostly thanks to Mike Ness, who is obsessed with 50's rockabilly, Bob Dylan and Hank Williams Sr., which shows on his solo album "Cheating At Solitaire" where he pays homage to the music he was raised on.

Ok thay first one is not by social distortion. The next one noted "When the angels sing" is but social distortion does have a song called angels wings as well. Two completely different songs. Looking at the date of this thread though I am sure you have found those lyrics by now... if not google. Sorry too lazy to type.

From the title, I thought it might refer to the common lore that "whenever a kitten sneezes, an angel gets its wings."
