For my birthday this year I got an iPod, an amazing piece of technology. It has rendered me practically useless for ordinary society just like in the ads. I walk through restaurants snapping my fingers and waving my hands in odd directions, my whole skull immersed in cuts from a thousand places, including the Mudcat CDs, and me wholly oblivious to the ordinary expectations of daily life!! I tell ya ya gotta try it. It is a whole new way to be in the world, in a musical nirvana while steering yourself through ordinary minutes. Really weird. I LOVE it!! A |
