BS: Happy B'day Amos

11 Sep 03 - 11:34 PM (#1017315)
Subject: BS: HAPPY B'DAY AMOS
From: Deda

HeyyyyyyyyyyYYYAMMMOOOOSSSSS !!!!

Sept 12, sometime in the 1940s ---
Happy Birthday, old bro -- and many many hapy returns. Hope you and BBW and Barky (I know she's not at home now but still) have a WONDERFUL DAY! Wish I could come visit -- but now that Sheyna's in Brooklyn, that's where any travel pennies I may luck into will have to go. But you're always in my heart.

Love and hugs,

Deda
(and Uncle Schmuncle too)

Who tried to make some of us famous,
By making CDs,
All of us tried to please,
So who should say 'Happy Birthday', but us?

Wretched, I know, dear -- But, after reading that, do you need any other excuse to reach for a bottle of cheap plonk, raise a glass to yourself and PARTY 'TILL YOUR PANTS FALL OFF!!! . . . but, don't forget to write a song about it tomorrow ;-)

Have a happy, happy natal celebration!!

Well ya see the way of it, mate; she came over and asked a question like that and the Missus standing right there, and all, and me not knowing what to think and all embarrassed and such, so as is usual in such cases I asked the guiding light of me life and she reckoned soup was the better answer. So that's what I said.

Well, actually what she said was I had better say Soup if I knew what was good for me, which come to think of it is not the same thing, now is it?

Hmmm.....

I'm sorry....I have waited as long as possible but this thread fails to pass the "Joe Offer Birthday Standard" test as most of the posts, with a few exceptions are as boring as camel shit in Morocco. I really hate to have to be the one who constantly keeps these friggers from being a long line of the same dumbass "Happy Birthday" messages which Joe simply hates. On that basis, my dear Amos, I am forced, you understand, to say:

FUCK OFF

FUCK YOUR BIRTHDAY

and of course

FUCK YOU

As a special present I can also add

KISS MY ASS

Okay, the thread is saved. Gawdamn Joe Offer anyway........

Aw thanks, LL and Peg. And Rog. This place is SO kewl!!

As it turned out I had a great day, took the BBW downtown for dancing lessons and then we thought (she shought) we'd go to thi place on the fifteenth floor of a hotel near the La Jolla beaches and lo, surprise, there were friends waiting around a table and we all got tiddly. My M-in-law sent me one of those extraordinarily cool-looking cameras for having video chats. Andf my BBW herself snuck in to my office and installed a new CD/DVD drive in my puder!! Talk about clever, she ain't by half, I swan!! I was very impressed!! And a book on wooden boats! Wow!

Oh, Spaw, Spaw, Spaw....I am not going to rise to the bait, which smells like old fish. Instead I would like to congratulate you on the success of your body-building program which is obviously doing you a world of good even if in a lopsided way.

Well, well. Here's hoping you have a truly wonderful birthday, my good man. You are a true gentleman.

Now what I am thinking is to purchase you a William Shatner action figure that you can mount on the dashboard of your car. Or else ship you that large tribble that someone made for the WSSBA banquet last June. It's got real fur on it and is 18 feet long. You have to see it to get the full effect. It also seems to be getting a little mouldy, which is why I'm hoping we can unload it on...

Disregard that! It's not at all mouldy. No siree.

You guys are all too good to be true, thanks os much.

For my birthday this year I got an iPod, an amazing piece of technology. It has rendered me practically useless for ordinary society just like in the ads. I walk through restaurants snapping my fingers and waving my hands in odd directions, my whole skull immersed in cuts from a thousand places, including the Mudcat CDs, and me wholly oblivious to the ordinary expectations of daily life!! I tell ya ya gotta try it. It is a whole new way to be in the world, in a musical nirvana while steering yourself through ordinary minutes. Really weird. I LOVE it!!

Amos, belated happy bithday old buddy, I just got back from a trip, so missed the actual day. I hope you had a great one, and wonder if you can decline iPOD, as in, I pod, we pod, he/she pods, they pod, etc. Then again I wouldn't decline an iPOD if one were offered.
Can I also apologise for our resident juvenile delinquent, now known [god knows why] as SuperTed, for his unwarranted intrusion into your personal birthday thread.
Giok

Giok, what a decent Birthda7y message!!! Thanks!! That's a charming phrase which I feared had long gone out of circulation , juvenile delinquent, which really irked me, for this reason: I had had the label applied to me so many times, I couldn't wait to become old enough to use it on others, to sort of balance things out (or at least pass the frustrationa long). To think it was obsoleted was more than I could bear!! :)))

Now I am old enough, and you have given me a genuine gift in reviving it!! LOL!
