Sessions in (SW) London

Hi, Common Q not recently answered: Is there anywhere to go in London, preferably Clapham or Balhamish or on the Northern Line, to sing or join in with songs and/or hear some trad tunes? Preferably preferably with no PA and with decent beer?

Yours hopefully . . .

Well there's always Court Sessions which is near "Amen Corner" in Mitcham Road, Tooting.

There aren't any other clubs which I can think of near "The Gateway to the South", but if you don't mind using the Northern Line, then there are plenty of clubs available in town such as Sharps, The Cellar Upstairs, Folk Roots etc.

Try looking in The Folk London Diary.

Sorry I meant to type Musical Traditions not Folk Roots - perhaps a nice Joeclone will correct it for me.

All my info is probably too far west for you.Theres a lot in and around Brentford several sessions on or near Brenford High Street, walking distance from Kew Bridge station - British Rail from Waterloo/Clapham Common.
