It's that time of year again! Anybody foolish enough to be taking part in this year's race?

This year will be my sixth GNR....I still haven't learnt!

That really takes me back to my childhood when we all used to go down to Heworth metro station to watch the runners go past! I did the junior run for a few years too and I keep planning to get fit and do the proper run, but never seem to get around to it. I have a good excuse this year as I have just given birth - maybe next year?

I know Pushkin has signed up to do it this year but due to a leg injury a couple of months ago she has had to drop out.....maybe next year eh!!

PB....Pint of Bitter?? I'm not sure about a personal best though, I've spent most of my training charging up and down hills.....great for x-country / mountain marathon stuff, but I'm not sure about a road race.

Thanks for the good wishes....I'll keep my eyes open for Mudcat T shirts.

I'll be VERY easy to spot, I'll be the one at the back. (Wearing a Tally-Ho! running singlet with red and white hoops , very bright!)

Cheers,

John
