The style might be called "singer/songwriter" and the singer is female. A recurring line is something like "this is my family" and the rhythm of nearly every line goes "dit-dit-dit-DAH-da-da." The song describes a very unconventional "family" made up of eccentric friends. |

Thanks for trying, though. First of all, Pete Morton's song has a more varied cadence from line to line, while the song in question follows the same cadence on every line, on and on "dit-dit-dit-DAH-da-DAH." Secondly, the singer in question is female. Third, the song in question repeats the line "This is my FAM-i-ly," not "...family tree." Anybody have any other leads? Henry |
